Dolly announced at a press confrence held at Dollywood on march 16, 2018 that there will be a " 9 to 5 reboot". The movie will hold the three girls you love from the original:) No details have been released as to when the movie will be released, all we know for sure is that it is happening!!!

After 32 years the mountain songbird Dolly Parton will no longer be the grand marshal of the once "Homecoming parade" in Pigeon Forge TN. The parade will now be called "The Music in The Mountains Spring Parade". Parton said “For 32 years, it’s been my honor and privilege to serve as the grand marshal,” said Dolly in a release. “In that time, Pigeon Forge has grown so much and so many new businesses and attractions have come to town, everyone agrees that this is the perfect time for me to step aside and share the spotlight with some other folks. Dollywood has hogged the spotlight long enough.”  The new grand marshal of the parade will be Cal Ripken Jr.

Dolly started out this year with two Guinesses World Records; she was recognized for the most decades with a top 20 hit on Billboard's Hot Country Songs Chart; She was also recognized for most hits on Billboard's Hot Country Songs Chart by a Female Artist. In addition to the Guinness Records, she also Recived honors from the Emmy Awards for her "Smoky Mountain Rise Telethon", as well as Reciving the Governor's award.
