I am doing everything I can to try to get a message to Dolly or her PR agent as my 7year old daughter has been obsessed with her for the past two years and write her letters over and over again. My daughter is in the 9 to 5 performance and is playing Dolly as an understudy wondered if I could get a picture or just a hi from her to give to my daughter, I could not get to her performance as it was in a different state and I’ve had a heart attack. I would like to introduce myself: I am Judy Beth Replogle. I am writing you because you are not only famous but an entrepreneur as well and support women owned businesses.
I am going to tell you my story.
I am an old lady
Years ago, I owned two restaurants, The Eggception, with my husband, for 14 years. Located at 1208 State St Santa Barbara Ca. and one on Linden Ave in Carpinteria Ca.
I started baking at 4 AM every morning, I baked our rolls, bread, pies, cookies and an incredibly special Christmas cake. I made bran muffins that I marketed to all corner markets and A M & P M markets until my husband and I separated our ways.
I sold the Carpinteria restaurant and kept the State ST restaurant for several year before I got my real estate license; mistakenly thinking life would be more rewarding in real estate.
I did moderately well in real estate putting my son through UCLA, owned my home, had moderate savings until the crash;
In the crash I lost my home, my car, my income. I had to bring in money, steady money, not commission. I became a tax preparer, a notary, I made cookies and muffins and sold to local markets.
I thought, what can I do? I’ll do a baking business. I thought of my Christmas cake. The Christmas cakes I made every year that were so popular in my restaurant. The cakes are seasonal; there is a market for them; it is a product with a long shelf life; reasonable to mass produce; an international product; yet unique, gourmet and looks beautiful.
I I was working on getting my cakes in every Walmart store.
Costco, replied “they make their own”; Whole Foods loved them, but One day I got a call from Jim Gallagher, a buyer for Walmart- Sam’s Clubs. He asked me about my story and my product. I told him my story and described the cakes. He knew from his manager days that customers waited each year for their cakes at Christmas. Mr. Gallagher, the buyer for Sam’s Club helped me . Walmart is GREAT in my books.
I chose the road show first because: I was the only one shopping for ingredients, prepping, mixing, baking, packaging, marketing and selling; I sold everything I baked. I would have people buy one and come back and buy all I had on my table. Men love this cake. To make real money I needed to be in every Sam’s Club, Every Whole Foods & etc. I needed to get a manufacturer who would bake to specifications so I could market and get the cakes into stores.
I started talking to Whole foods and was set to deliver my cakes to Santa Barbara Whole Foods, I was also working on getting the cakes into every walnut store, but I broke my shoulder. Running out of money had to take a job managing Mathilda Apartments in Goleta, CA. The real estate market revived, and I could make a living again, but it takes all my time. I have not been able to get the cake business flying.

I would like to introduce myself: I am Judy Beth Replogle. I am writing you because you are not only famous but an entrepreneur as well and support women owned businesses.
I am going to tell you my story.
I am an old lady
Years ago, I owned two restaurants, The Eggception, with my husband, for 14 years. Located at 1208 State St Santa Barbara Ca. and one on Linden Ave in Carpinteria Ca.
I started baking at 4 AM every morning, I baked our rolls, bread, pies, cookies and an incredibly special Christmas cake. I made bran muffins that I marketed to all corner markets and A M & P M markets until my husband and I separated our ways.
I sold the Carpinteria restaurant and kept the State ST restaurant for several year before I got my real estate license; mistakenly thinking life would be more rewarding in real estate.
I did moderately well in real estate putting my son through UCLA, owned my home, had moderate savings until the crash;
In the crash I lost my home, my car, my income. I had to bring in money, steady money, not commission. I became a tax preparer, a notary, I made cookies and muffins and sold to local markets.
I thought, what can I do? I’ll do a baking business. I thought of my Christmas cake. The Christmas cakes I made every year that were so popular in my restaurant. The cakes are seasonal; there is a market for them; it is a product with a long shelf life; reasonable to mass produce; an international product; yet unique, gourmet and looks beautiful.
I I was working on getting my cakes in every Walmart store.
Costco, replied “they make their own”; Whole Foods loved them, but One day I got a call from Jim Gallagher, a buyer for Walmart- Sam’s Clubs. He asked me about my story and my product. I told him my story and described the cakes. He knew from his manager days that customers waited each year for their cakes at Christmas. Mr. Gallagher, the buyer for Sam’s Club helped me . Walmart is GREAT in my books.
I chose the road show first because: I was the only one shopping for ingredients, prepping, mixing, baking, packaging, marketing and selling; I sold everything I baked. I would have people buy one and come back and buy all I had on my table. Men love this cake. To make real money I needed to be in every Sam’s Club, Every Whole Foods & etc. I needed to get a manufacturer who would bake to specifications so I could market and get the cakes into stores.
I started talking to Whole foods and was set to deliver my cakes to Santa Barbara Whole Foods, I was also working on getting the cakes into every walnut store, but I broke my shoulder. Running out of money had to take a job managing Mathilda Apartments in Goleta, CA. The real estate market revived, and I could make a living again, but it takes all my time. I have not been able to get the cake business flying.

CORRECTION: The price of the ICE CREAM is $4.99 for each scoop. This would come to $5.44 a scoop including tax.
It’s great that some of this extortionate amount for a scoop of ice cream goes to support (I think) Ms. Parton’s Library. What I’m worried about is the blue collar families who have 3+ kids who have to pay $16.35 including tax for 3 scoops of ice cream. When we had little kids, it would have been a struggle (after paying for tickets and parking) to pay for the kid’s $16.35 ice cream. Mom and Dad simply would NOT get to have any.
Regardless, we still love Dollywood. We just think the park experience would be better if it was more economically family friendly.

We love Dollywood and all the good Ms. Parton is doing in Sevier County and the surrounding area.
We moved to Sevier County from South Carolina so we could visit Dollywood frequently.
We visited the park on Friday, April 30, 2021, my wife loves the ice cream in the park, so she went in to get a scoop. She was told that ONE SCOOP is $4.50.
Now that flies in the face of all we thought Dollywood stood for. Extremely high priced ice cream is simply a microcosm of guest unfriendly rising prices in the park. I’m aware the various commodities sold in the park benefit Ms. Partons charities, but what about the financial welfare of the average blue collar guest? Families come to the park to have fun not to be fleeced by the grossly high priced food and other things for sale in the park.
For some time now we have purchased yearly tickets. However, $4.50 for ONE SCOOP of ice cream will probably deter further ticket purchases and not just for us either.

Well I think god that I'm alive but when I told our son that we could not go to dolly wood his face just break my heart but he say to me mommy I just glad you are with me an daddy today we can go other day ..

I am Immigrant from Taiwan & a U.S. Citizen. My husband is a Caucasian and we have two boys. For each of the last 15 years we have vacationed in the Smokys, attended every year the Dixie Stampede now Dolly Stampede, comedy barn, Hatfield and McCoys, the pirates Voyage when it opened, etc. We are in the Smokys now. Glad to know that Dolly has so little respect for my husband and for part of the ethncites of my boys. We will not be attending any Dolly Parton owned facilities again until an apology is offered to go millons of Caucasian and mixed children she attacked with her words. We have faithfully supported you but we will no more. Glad to find out she really only cares about rioters, looters who put tens of thousands out of business and about her businesses and not about all people of all ethnicities. With a sad and disappointed heart we will be looking for a new vacation retreat where my husband, my children and I are welcome and respected.
